MEET HOUSE MINORITY LEADER
ANGELA ROMERO

Angela Romero, a dedicated public servant, has been advocating for the residents of House District 25 within the Utah State Legislature since 2013. She is proud to represent the most diverse district in Utah where she raised her son, Cio. Her unwavering commitment to Salt Lake’s West Side communities, social justice policies, and her dedication to equity have propelled her throughout her legislative service. In a testament to her work, Representative Romero was elected House Minority Leader in 2023, highlighting her ability to bring people together and lead elected officials to implement positive changes for Utahns. 

 

This December, Minority Leader Romero will take on a national leadership role and will be sworn in as the President of the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators. This prestigious position speaks volumes about her dedication to representing the interests of Hispanic communities on a broader scale. 

 

Minority Leader Romero, a trailblazer and an inspiration to many, embodies the values of leadership, service, and inclusivity. As a progressive leader in Utah, Minority Leader Romero ensures all voices are heard. A lifelong advocate for marginalized communities, working families, environmental justice, our children and neighborhoods, community values, and she stands up for survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. Her achievements in local and national arenas promise to bring about significant positive change for her constituents and underrepresented communities.

Going forward, Minority Leader Romero will keep standing up for all of us and continue leading the Utah Minority Caucus to fight on the issues that matter, including:
